About us

Established in 1969, the KZN Cerebral Palsy Association is a registered welfare orgaisation (NPO 002-154) which strives to enhance the lives and functional independence of children and adults with Cerebral Palsy.

Since the abilities of people with Cerebral Palsy differ widely from one individual to another, so do our services. We teach the educable, train the intellectually challenged, and provide loving care and therapy for those most profoundly affected – through six specialist facilities.

These facilities are open to anyone in need, regardless of race, culture, religion or financial means. No Cerebral Palsied child has ever been turned away – even if the family cannot afford to contribute financially.

Services include:

  • education & awareness
  • assessment
  • physiotherapy
  • occupational therapy
  • speech therapy
  • psychological facilities
  • day care
  • residential care

Our organisation employs a small staff, complemented by many active volunteers.
